Travel Safety

Politically and Geographically, Nepal is the safe destination for travelers. It is not only safe for travel but also fun, amazing, cultural heritage tours, Trekking, hiking, Expedition, holiday adventure and incredibly beauty of natures as well as stunning Himalayan sceneries. If someone asks about safety concern to travel to Nepal, Certainly Nepal is safe travel destination since all the major tourist area are policed, announced that tourism in Nepal is free from all difficult situation and made tourism industry peaceful by the government of Nepal. People now are aware from all political parties and knew that tourism is the backbone of the economy in Nepal that they are always ready to help tourist for safety. Nepal police also have separate tourist police who are always ready to help the tourist when if situation arise and Of course the tourism industries are always with the safety for tourist in Nepal.

Being, Tourist business in Nepal hit the hardest business for couple of years is finally picking up after signing the peace accord in Nov, 2006, Sep 2007 accordingly in January 2009, The conflict has ended and the rebels that we had a conflict between the government and the Maoist rebels in the past decades. Traveling in Nepal is safe and there is no security problem at all. The number of tourists visiting to Nepal this year has increased from every country, USA, UK, Poland, Germany, Japan, Africa, china, Malaysia, Spain, France, Thailand etc compared to previous years, by up to 200% (from some countries)

More important is the frequent question, was Nepal unsafe during those conflict days? Basically Nepalese are known as peaceful and hospitable people even in the height of the conflict. Not a single tourist was harmed, beaten captured and demand of donations by rebels in certain areas but that has stopped completely. The conflict was always limited among Nepalese themselves and all were aware not to harm the tourist.

Despite these facts some contrives have issued travel advisories discouraging their citizen to visit Nepal. Our best suggestions to you is keep your mind open, look for the development, contact the recent traveler s, listen what they have to say and ignore the silly advisories which do not reflect the realities of the ground at all. Thanks to the improving scenario. Well you must be aware of the developments that have been taking place out here, however, let me give you a quick update, just in case.
You know that over more than a half decade, Nepalese tourism industry has suffered severely due to conflicts at home and other untoward incidences that took place around the world.

Since both the Government and Maoists have committed for free movement of tourists and all Nepali in any part of the country without hindrance, it will definitely provide a boost to ailing tourism industry of Nepal.

But it’s a fact that cannot be hidden that people got killed during this conflict, there is no record of any tourists or travelers being injured, killed or involved in anyway.
Though, all people in Nepal have a strong belief that guests are equal to god, every Nepal abides by this and offers the warmest of welcomes to all visitors into Nepal.
The signing of CPA also put full stop to illegal donation collected by Maoists from trekkers in the different trekking routes. Now tourists can go anywhere in Nepal with any hiccup and hitch. Although not a single tourist had been targeted or harmed by the rebels during a decade-long insurgency, the conflict emanated wrong message to world about the safety and security situation of Nepal.

With the ending of conflict, all tourism entrepreneurs have expressed their satisfaction and happiness in a hope that it will bring permanent peace in the country which is vital for the growth of tourism industry.

What until recently was dream of all Nepali and peace lovers has now become a reality. Now that peace and stability has returned to Nepal and democracy has been restored, the tourists have returned.

This lovely little country that nestles in the midst of the mighty Himalayas looks forward to increase in tourist traffic as adventure travel is the main source of income here.
